Getting Started

    The Relm's~A Land of Great Mystery is a brand new RPG site! This site takes place post “A Great and Terrible Beauty” This site doesn’t have any set plot because that would get really complicated. This is ~Admin

    London, England is currently experiencing summer. It is still very rainy and mostly cloudy most days. In the evenings it gets very chilly, but in the day its quite nice. There’s nothing like Perfect London weather.

    Gemma stepped into the Relms. It had been a long time. She sighed and gazed around at the beautiful garden before her. She let her hair down and felt the slight breeze blow it around her. She looked all around and then pulled out what was in her dress skirt pocket. She pulled out Kartrik’s red bandanna, or at least half of it. Taking it she tied it around her hair, like a hair band and walked slowly forward towards the glistening river in front of her.

    Gliding down the grassy fields, Gemma finally reached what she wanted. Standing at the water’s edge she gazed out at the blue in the distance. Slowly untying the bandanna from her hair, she grasped it with both hands. Looking down at it, she kissed it, and took in its smell for one last time, before letting the wind take it out to sea.

    As the last part of it slipped through her fingers she heard her name and whispered, “I love you.” As the bandanna flew out of site, her eyes filled with water again, but this time she had the strength to push it back. Taking one last breath Gemma turned around and went back to Fee and Ann.

    “Well, I have done what is right. That is the last I shall tear over him. I know he is in a better place, and one day I will soon join him.” Gemma told them defiantly, taking each one by the hand. “Now, it is time for us to play! What shall we do?” She asked, trying to sound cheerful.

    Gemma's attempts at cheerfulness did not fool Ann. She knew Gemma was suffering. But Gemma was stubborn. She would cry, eventually, but not infront of her and Fee, she knew that. Gemma was very prideful, too, which weighed more in the stubborn department.

    "Gemma..." Ann began to say, struggling for words that could make her understand, "You're still grieving. First, there was denial. Second, there was rage. And don't tell me you weren't angry at some point in time, because you were. Third, which is where you are now, is paranoia. You claim to accept his loss, but you do not. You try to be brave for the rest of us, but..."

    Ann groaned loudly in frustration. She couldn't even finish her sentence. What was wrong with her? She was getting so angry lately, so distant. She did not accept Gemma's "acceptance" because she knew it was not real. And for some reason, instead of it worrying her, it aggrivated her. She firmly pressed her lips together into a tight line, refusing to say anything more to upset her, and wandered off to the river.

    Ann sat there for a moment, thinking. Why couldn't she ever be happy? Why must all of them never be happy? It just didn't make sense to her. And for the first time, she didn't want it to make sense...
